Trish's Bio
Trish Edmisten was born Patricia Leigh Dunn to military parents in Independence, Kansas on March 8, 1974. Shortly after her birth, she and her mother, Linda, joined her father Paul, in the country of Turkey where he was already stationed for his military service. Throughout the years, Trish and her parents lived in many places. Prior to moving to California, her family spent several years living in the tiny town of Welch, Oklahoma. It was while living in Oklahoma that her brother, Travis, was born. When Trish was ten years old, her parents made the decision to move the family to Fresno, California, where Trish currently resides.
Trish met her husband, Wes, while working at Target. They were married on March 28, 1994 in a civil ceremony in Fresno, California. On December 28, 1995, their first daughter, Kylie, was born. Their second daughter, Cyan, was born May 14, 1999, and their family was complete.
Although Trish has been writing and getting recognized for her writing for most of her life, it wasn’t until recently that she decided to try her hand at something more than a hobby. Her first venture into that was a short story entitled Six Bullet Night that received recognition in the Writer’s Digest 74th Annual Writing Competition. Since then Trish can be found at her computer every day where she rediscovers the joy of writing.
After graduating from Fresno High School in 1992, Trish immediately began attending college as a child development major. She was one semester away from obtaining her Associate of Arts degree when she decided to change majors to Criminology. This meant it was another three semesters to getting a degree, but in the end it was the better choice.
In the last few years, Trish has developed a love of tennis and takes every opportunity that she can to hit the courts. She also is an avid dog lover, having adopted 3 SPCA pound rescues, Belle, Gizmo and Daisy.
